[Main Ingredients] Sodium sulfadiazine, trimethoprim, enrofloxacin.
[Functions and Uses]
This product is primarily indicated for the treatment of severe hoof rot and necrotic lesions, as well as nail shedding, caused by viral and bacterial diseases in livestock.
Symptoms include elevated body temperature, redness of the coronary band, interdigital space, and heel, with ulceration and shedding of the hoof horn; affected animals exhibit lameness and a tendency to lie down. Lesions—ulcerative patches—appear on the nasal mirror, oral cavity, gingiva, tongue, and udder, causing pain that prevents standing. The condition is accompanied by severe fever and anorexia. The treatment is remarkably effective and fast‑acting: recovery begins within 2–3 hours, oozing gradually ceases, and scabs form progressively, yielding excellent results.
It is used to treat vesicular stomatitis in cattle and sheep, foot-and-mouth disease with vesicles and erosions of the hoof coronet, bovine pox, ovine pox, contagious pustular dermatitis, laminitis, and other conditions.
Affected animals primarily exhibit dry oral mucosa and nasal mirror, vesicles on the tongue and lip mucosa that subsequently develop into erosions, toe‑walking, lameness, and recumbency; accompanied by high fever, reduced appetite, stringy drooling, serous nasal discharge, cessation of rumination, and a decline or cessation of lactation.
【Usage and Dosage】Intramuscular injection: Mix one vial of this product, “Liu Jia,” with one vial of “Sheep Disease Pentavalent Antiserum,” shake well before use. Administer a single dose of 0.1 ml per kg body weight for cattle, sheep, and pigs (i.e., one complete course of this product is sufficient for animals weighing up to 200 kg), once daily for 2–3 consecutive days.
[Precautions] In treating foot rot, thorough cleaning of the affected area is crucial. Rinse the lesion with a 0.1% potassium permanganate solution to remove debris and pus, and carefully excise any necrotic, decaying tissue. Follow up by disinfecting with povidone‑iodine solution, then pat dry with sterile gauze before applying medication.
