[Properties] This product is an off-white fine powder; when moistened with water, it has a clay-like odor and the color deepens.
[Pharmacological Action] Kaolin has a large adsorption surface area, can mechanically adsorb bacterial toxins, and provides mechanical protection to the skin or mucous membranes.
[Function and Uses] Antidiarrheal. Taken orally for diarrhea; externally used as a base for poultices and dusting powders.
[Dosage and Administration] Oral: single dose for horses and cattle 50~150g; sheep and pigs 10~30g; dogs 1~5g.
